Kalshi Fee Revenue
How much Kalshi actually makes from all that trading — fees collected day by day, who's contributed over time, and how many cents it keeps per contract.
About this page
Fees are summed from Kalshi's trade records and totaled by day. Fee per contract divides daily fees by daily contracts, so it's the realized average rate Kalshi actually collected — not its posted fee schedule. If revenue climbs while cents-per-contract falls, growth is coming from more volume, not a richer take.
Daily fee revenue
The fees Kalshi collected each day, from the same trading behind the volume charts.
Sports vs. non-sports fee revenue by month
Monthly exchange fee revenue for the latest 12 calendar months. Sports includes straight sports fees and parlays; the newest month may be partial.
Kalshi fee revenue mix over the past six months
Daily non-sports fee revenue
Kalshi's non-sports fee revenue by day since January 1, 2026. Fees include both taker and maker charges, recorded on the trade date.
Daily non-sports fee revenue by category
Kalshi's daily non-sports fee revenue since January 1, 2026, split by category. Finance covers commodity, stock index, currency, and yield prices; Economics covers Fed policy, unemployment, inflation, and other economic releases. Each stacked bar adds up to the same daily total as the chart above.
Daily non-sports fees excluding crypto and financial markets
Daily fee revenue over the latest six months, with crypto and financial price markets removed. Economics remains: CPI, unemployment, payrolls, GDP, and Fed policy.
Daily non-sports fees excluding 15-minute markets
Daily non-sports fee revenue over the latest six months, excluding only 15-minute markets. Longer-duration crypto, commodities, indices, currencies, and other financial markets remain, alongside Economics, Politics, Weather, Mention, Entertainment, and Other.
Daily 15-minute crypto, commodity and finance fee revenue
Kalshi's fee revenue from 15-minute crypto, commodity, and financial markets, totaled by trade date since January 1, 2026. Each bar combines all three groups and includes taker and maker fees.
Taker vs maker fees
Kalshi bills the aggressor on almost every market, but it also charges the resting side on a named subset — soccer, tennis, rate and inflation markets. This splits the daily total above into those two parts.
Cumulative fee revenue
Reported non-sports and sports fees, plus the parlay residual. The published components are mutually exclusive and add up to the headline fee total, so the bands are an exact decomposition of the chart above.
Fee rate (cents per contract)
The realized average fee Kalshi kept on each contract traded.
Fees by category over time
The fees Kalshi collected, by category — on a trade-date basis (fees as charged when a trade executes, not when markets settle).

Fee rate by category
Effective fee rate (¢ per contract charged) by category — the same per-category split as the fees chart above, but as a rate instead of a dollar total, so a category can be flagged as expensive-per-contract even if its total fee dollars are small. Kalshi's fee formula peaks at the 50¢ strike and falls off toward 1¢/99¢, so this mostly reflects each category's typical contract price. Same toggle and colors as the fees charts above.
